Julia supports Jo in the day to day running of the organisation. She manages the CRB service to groups and supports them to make sure they are operating, and doing CRB checks, legally. We know this can be daunting and difficult for groups but Julia will guide you through the process.

Janice recruits volunteers and matches them to volunteer opportunities with locally operating voluntary organisations. She is also responsible for publicity.

She can also support local organisations to develop their volunteering opportunities, develop their policy and practice and advise them on any problems or concerns they may have.

Cathryn looks after the vinvolved project for the Volunteer Centres across Derbyshire and is the link with volunteer involving organisations who want to develop new opportunities for young people.

Youth Volunteer Adviser - Jen Walsh

Jen works with the Volunteer Centres on the vinvolved project to get young people involved in volunteer opportunities. She finds out what they want to do and matches their skills and interests to the opportunities organisations have. Jen also makes sure that young people across the area enjoy what their volunteering role and gets their views on what else needs to happen so they continue to grow and learn.

Pete is the worker supporting all the Volunteer Centres across Derbyshire. He also supports Jo on strategic work with partners and makes sure that volunteering is recognised as a really valuable contribution to our communities and that it must be invested in and supported. Pete deputises for Jo in strategic relationships and also works to develop even more links for the Volunteer Centres in the East Midlands.

Claire and Jackie are the development workers for a new project in partnership with Volunteer Centre Buxton. They are working with organisations in High Peak and Hope Valley to make sure they have support around volunteering. This is an exciting new project. They are also the people who will support people who are interested in volunteering in the Hope Valley area.

Pea takes on the responsibility to keep the building and offices clean and hygenic to allow the Volunteer Centre staff to operate in an efficient way! Pea has the key task of reminding all staff of the importance of health and safety in a public space. She is the person who keeps us all in order and tells Jo off for her office being messy!
